The focus is especially on specialized fibre ropes and steel wire ropes with added value concerning breaking strength, lifetime, safety and user friendliness. The R&D departments work on innovative solutions which are based on market developments and customer demands. Sales are generated by six specialized sales departments located in four countries. Products to shipping lines and offshore companies are provided throughout the world. Lankhorst Ropes is also the main supplier for newly built ships in Europe, China, Japan and Korea. Stock positions are maintained at various strategical locations worldwide, thus ensuring continuity, fast service and short delivery times. The main production facilities are located in the Netherlands (Sneek), Portugal (Maia and Póvoa do Varzim) and in Greece (Thiva). The product range is sold through organizations that are based in the Netherlands (Sneek and Dordrecht), the UK (Worksop) and Portugal (Maia).
